Tipster Al M. alerted us to the soft opening of rolled ice cream spot Glazier at 414 Sutter St. This is the second location for the ice creamery; the original is in Los Gatos.

All of Glazier's ice cream rolls are made to order, in flavors such as matcha and marshmallow. They're then topped with fresh fruits, cookies and other toppings. Some specialized menu items are the “Hello Marshmallow" (with Oreos, Nutella and marshmallow) and the “Choco Coco" (with coconut, fudge and chocolate syrup).

If ice cream isn’t your thing, Glazier also serves frozen yogurt, mochi waffles, bubble tea, coffee and tea. It also has plans to soon offer an almond-milk ice cream, as an alternative to dairy.

Gott's Roadside (1 Ferry Building, #6)

If you’re a fan of Gott’s Roadside, you may have noticed that its Ferry Building location was closed for two weeks in January. But there's no reason for panic — it's recently reopened after a renovation, and has added some new menu items to boot.

A representative for Gott's said the 15-year-old business was in need of a refresh, and it now has a glass-encased kitchen, new chairs, refinished tables and clearly designated bar and pick-up areas. A large photograph of the original Gott's in St. Helena is a nod to the burger spot's now 20-year history.

The menu's also gotten a shakeup: in addition to the classic burgers and fries, diners can now sample a chicken parmigiana sandwich or an avocado taco. The formerly limited-time chicken schnitzel sandwich is now permanent.

To drink, Gott's has added four new draft beer taps, as well as a new shake flavor: Nutella.

Hours at the Ferry Building location are 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., with the indoor soft-serve window open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

One Market (1 Market St.)

As of last weekend, One Market has added a jazz trio to play on Saturday nights, led by pianist Billy Philadelphia. A longtime Bay Area musical director, Philadelphia gained renown for his playing at Jeremiah Tower's famed, now-closed Civic Center restaurant Stars but has also been been playing at One Market since its inception in 1993.

At One Market, he'll be joined by Carla Kaufman on upright bass and Mark Rosengarden on drums, playing from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. every Saturday.

The jazz trio will accompany One Market's Saturday night happy hour, with food items ($9 each) including pork belly "banh mi" tacos, loaded tater tots and chicken spring rolls. The restaurant will also offer discounts on draft beers ($6), wine ($8/glass), and cocktails ($7-10). For those seeking something more substantial, there's a Saturday-only prime rib special.
