A surge in narcotics and fentanyl activity in the area prompted the investigation, which was spearheaded by District Sam patrol officers with support from the San Jose Police Department METRO unit. Officers executed a search warrant on the suspects' residence and vehicles, leading to the seizure of a massive amount of drugs and illegal weapons.

The confiscated items included 28,000 Adderall pills, 1,000 M30 Fentanyl pills, 30 pounds of marijuana, 40 grams of cocaine, 3 ounces of methamphetamine, a 9mm privately made firearm (ghost gun), an unregistered Glock pistol, a Mac-10 firearm, ammunition, and over $12,000 in cash. According to the SJPD, the drugs have an estimated street value of nearly one million dollars and have been linked to numerous overdose deaths.
