Today, Silvia Garcia, 41, was critically injured in an apparent road rage caused shooting in a Home Depot parking lot on the South Side of Chicago. She sustained a gunshot wound to her head while in the car with her teenage son. Garcia is currently in critical condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center, according to ABC7 Chicago.
According for Garcia's husband, Jesus, the incident began when the family were going to Home Depot. After he honked at a driver who ran a red light, the driver stopped, displayed a handgun, and hit Jesus with it before firing the gun, shooting Silvia, as detailed by WGN-TV.
Victory Outreach Church Pastor, Aby Diaz, described the Garcia family as "a real nice family" and "a very united and humble family", reports ABC7 Chicago.
Authorities have yet to identify or arrest any suspects.
