A new cocktail lounge from the team behind The Lewis will open next Friday in Oswego's former firehouse with a 4 p.m. ribbon-cutting and walk-in service.

Portillo’s plans a 4,600‑sq‑ft, walk‑up style restaurant at 3519 N. Clark St., a block south of Wrigley Field, with pickup, delivery and seating planned for next year.

Magnolia Bakery's Loop outpost was ordered closed after inspectors found roaches, flies and food-debris problems. The bakery says it's pursuing repairs and retraining before reopening.
