Early Saturday morning, an Atlanta teen became the latest victim of the city's gun violence, sustaining a gunshot wound to the back on Brownlee Road in Southwest Atlanta. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, police were called to the scene at around 3:31 a.m., where they found the 14-year-old boy injured.

Despite the efforts of the Atlanta Police Department's Aggravated Assault Unit to unravel the circumstances behind the shooting, the boy has been reticent, unwilling to cooperate with investigators as he was being treated at a local hospital, it remains unclear what prompted the violence that found him early that morning. The authorities continue to search for the shooter, and the investigation is underway.

The APD has not released further details about the suspect or the events leading up to the shooting, nor have they confirmed any arrests in connection with the incident.
