Driver Jaylon Waters Arrested and Charged After Leading Harris County Deputies on High-Speed ChaseSource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

A reckless driver led Constable deputies on a high-speed chase only to end up behind bars, authorities said. The pursuit unfolded after deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on the 1300 block of E Cypresswood Drive on April 15, and the driver, identified as Jaylon Waters, decided to hit the gas instead of the brakes, sparking a chase.

According to a post on the official Precinct 4 Facebook page, the chase was brief and deputies managed to halt Waters' escape and apprehend him without further incident, Waters now faces a serious charge for his flight attempt, Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, and he's been hauled off to the Harris County Jail.

Constable Mark Herman's office made it clear that evading law enforcement won't be tolerated. "Jaylon Waters was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle," the Constable was quoted in the Facebook post, with the bond for Waters was set at a steep $10,000.00, secured in the 174th District Court.
