Seattle police released chilling bodycam footage late Friday that captured the fatal shooting of a 67-year-old suspect, allegedly a child predator, during a sting operation at a Tukwila hotel, according to KOMO News.

In a fast-developing scenario, the suspect arrived at the DoubleTree Suites hotel Wednesday afternoon under the belief that he was meeting two young girls, aged 7 and 11 but was instead confronted by multiple undercover officers with the Washington State Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce who had prepared an arrest operation, the suspect upon realizing the affair, and drawing a firearm was swiftly engaged by the officers, who opened fire, resulting in his death, the Seattle Police Department Chief Adrian Diaz detailed, as per KOMO News.

The task force is known for investigating Child Sexual Exploitation cases which often include the production, distribution, or possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, as they further the service provider systems utilized in committing such offenses.

"Praise to these cops at the Seattle Police Department for their quick reflexes and neutralizing the threat immediately so no one else was harmed," Nicole Parker, a former FBI special agent, conveyed her commendation in an interview with Fox News Digital, expressed understanding for the split-second decision-making the officers encountered which comes in light of recent alarming events of on-duty law enforcement fatalities, her experience presupposes that offenders such as the subdued suspect are often amongst the most dangerous criminals who may believe they have nothing to lose due to the severe consequences awaiting their capture.

A report by India Today indicated that it remains unclear what led police to set up the undercover operation, but the deadly outcome has drawn attention to the inherent risks and complexities involved in apprehending individuals accused of such heinous crimes.
