Dorchester Man Charged with Cocaine and Fentanyl Trafficking in RoxburySource: Google Street View

A Dorchester man was nabbed by cops for alleged cocaine and fentanyl trafficking in Roxbury, police said. Wellington Guzman, 25, was arrested by the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 on Thursday evening following an investigation sparked by community drug complaints, according to Boston Police.

The officers conducting patrol near 16 Harrow Street spotted a man who, after exiting an apartment, hopped into a vehicle that soon pulled away. The suspect believed to be Guzman, got out a short distance away, prompting police to pull the car over on 141 Pleasant Street. The driver, answering the cops' questions with hesitation, was ordered to step out for a frisking, which he resisted.

However, the pat-down proceeded, and in the suspect’s pockets, the officers discovered a small fortune in drugs bordered by a pile of cash. Guzman's cargo included "eighteen plastic bags containing 31 grams of crack cocaine, five plastic bags containing 5 grams of cocaine, ten plastic bags containing 15 grams of fentanyl, and $876 in US currency," as detailed in a Boston Police Department statement. Facing charges for trafficking class A and class B drugs, Guzman was handcuffed and is set to face the music at his arraignment in Roxbury District Court.
