Fountain Hills rolls out plans to pay tribute to the bravest souls we've lost, the firefighters, during the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend on May 4th and 5th. The event recognizes the ultimate sacrifices made by 226 individuals who led double lives as both lifesavers and cherished companions outside of the blaze and smoke.

Joining the nation in this solemn homage, the town's iconic fountain at Fountain Park is set to glow red on May 4, a beacon of respect meant to "Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters," and allow the community to share a reflective pause in the evening hours.

Fountain Hills Mayor Ginny Dickey preparing to deliver a special proclamation to honor these fire service heroes during the Town Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 7. Those unable to attend the glowing tribute in person can still join in from anywhere by tuning into the town's EarthCam, witnessing the fountain's special display as it lights up at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m., each performance lasting 15 minutes. Details on the streaming and additional information about the memorial can be found on the town's official website.
