Tom Lee Park in Memphis Hosts Memorial Day Pickleball Tournament with Clinics and FestivitiesSource: Memphis River Parks Partnership

Get ready to serve and swing at the Memorial Day pickleball extravaganza sweeping Tom Lee Park this weekend. According to Action News 5, the park is now open and will host a slew of outdoor activities, including a pickleball tournament on Sunday, May 26, from noon until 5 p.m. To spice things up, tunes and clinics for first-timers at the sport will be on offer under the Sunset Canopy.

Closures don't mean a thing when the Riverside Drive area springs back to life with a month's worth of festival activities. As reported by FOX13 Memphis, while the children's playground rejoined the Memphis park portfolio on May 24th, the Sunset Canopy section will be fully operational today, May 25, putting paddleplay front and center Saturday and Sunday, ending at 11 a.m. and kicking off the revelry with competitive contests and, for the victors, cash prizes.

Those who are new to the game of pickleball need not fret. In collaboration with Pickle Ball 901, Tom Lee Park is the place to be for novices and pros alike. By setting the clinics to the beat of music, the sessions are designed not just to instruct but to entertain. While the kids enjoy the reinstated playground, players at any level can enjoy free open play, getting active while absorbing the riverside vibes.
