Two male juveniles have found themselves on the wrong side of the law after allegedly robbing a 30-year-old woman in broad daylight in Chicago. According to Chicago Police Department reports, the pair was nabbed by officers on May 24 at about 2:37 p.m., shortly after the accused confrontation.
Officials detailed that the duo accosted the female victim around the 3100 block of N. Christiana, where they reportedly used a firearm to intimidate and rob her. The suspects, ages 15 and 17, are facing serious felony charges. The 15-year-old, in particular, is being hit with one felony count each of armed robbery with discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault with discharge of a firearm, and aggravated unauthorized use of a weapon by a person under 21, along with ammunition possession without a valid FOID.
The older teen is staring down the barrel of a felony count for armed robbery with a firearm and a misdemeanor count for obstructing identification. The authorities took action within minutes of the crime, capturing the suspects in the vicinity of the 3400 block of N. Albany Ave.
The circumstances of the case are still unraveling, with details being sparse as the investigation continues. The young men have been taken into custody and, are yet to have their day in court.
