A shining example of educational leadership in Miami-Dade County, Chantal Osborne, has been recognized as Principal of the Year 2024. Osborne, who functions as the principal for Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, was awarded the honors for her remarkable achievements within the institution. Osborne's dedication has evidently paid off, as reflected in the substantial job placement rate of 91 percent achieved under her administration.

In what was surely a jubilant event for all involved, Osborne received more than just accolades. Headquarter Toyota stepped in to ensure the principal's commute would match the esteem of her title. "I am so incredibly grateful to receive such an amazing and generous gift from Headquarters Toyota. I’m so proud to represent Miami-Dade County as the 2024 Principal of the Year, it’s truly an amazing gift and it’s going to be an amazing experience driving in to work tomorrow morning," Osborne expressed in a statement obtained by WSVN.

The accolade also included other perks, a reflection of Osborne's impactful leadership. Alongside the brand new 2024 Toyota Corolla, complete with a three-year lease, the seasoned educator was awarded $2,000 cash and a three-to-five-day cruise with an a ocean view stateroom, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. This announcement was made at the Dade Association of School Administrators’ (DASA) Annual Award Ceremony, according to Local 10.

In a similar vein, Romulo Espinosa didn't leave the stage without recognition. Serving as the Assistant Principal of the Year, Espinosa, Carol City Middle School's stalwart for education, embodies 19 years of dedication to the pedagogic field. The journey from a teacher for eight years to a math coach and curriculum support specialist, and then rising to an Assistant Principal five years ago, Espinosa's story is certainly one of progression and passion for education.
