Early yesterday, further developments unfolded in Chicago as Tayvion Reynolds, a 23-year-old from the 4100 block of W. Wilcox St., stood accused of a severe crime against another city resident. Reynolds faces a serious felony charge - one count of attempted first-degree murder - in connection with a shooting incident that occurred about a month and a half ago, leaving a 38-year-old man injured.

According to a press release from the Chicago Police Department, Reynolds was arrested in the 5800 block of W. Lake St. and was identified as the alleged gunman in the assault that took place on May 4, 2024, at approximately 9:28 P.M. The shooting, which left the victim seriously wounded, occurred in the 1600 block of S. Lawndale Ave. in the 10th District.

The case took a pivotal turn as Reynolds was taken into custody and has since been charged, the next step in this judicial progression is a detention hearing, slated to occur today in the courthouse at 2600 S. California.
