A Detroit man and a teenager are facing serious charges after an alleged armed robbery and subsequent shooting involving a four-wheeler in Warren. According to The Detroit News, 20-year-old Larry Moses Jr., and a 15-year-old, whose name was not released due to his age, are accused of stealing the recreational vehicle at gunpoint on May 31.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office stated that after the theft, the owner of the four-weller chased the suspects in his truck, during which he was fired upon multiple times, WWJ Newsradio reports. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The bond for the accused has been set at $1 million each, with no option to pay just a 10% deposit as typically allowed in some cases, indicating the gravity of the charges they face.

Prosecutors have charged the juvenile with carjacking, assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm possession. These offenses can result in life imprisonment for the more severe charges. Meanwhile, Moses Jr. faces the same charges, and is additionally recognized as a habitual second offender for possessing a firearm by a prohibited person, as detailed by clickondetroit.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido was quoted by The Detroit News, saying "Their decision to carjack an innocent victim at gunpoint and, subsequently open fire on him reflects a disregard for human life and the safety of our community. We will ensure they are held accountable for their violent actions and to send a clear message that such crimes will not be tolerated." Both defendants are expected to attend further court proceedings on June 20 and June 27 for a probable cause hearing and preliminary exam respectively.
