Pop icon Harry Styles has ventured into Chicago's retail landscape with the launch of a new pop-up shop for his beauty brand, Pleasing. Located at 1623 N. Damen Ave. in the bustling Wicker Park neighborhood, the "Pleasing AstroMilk Bar" offers patrons a blend of retro aesthetics and modern flair.

The pop-up shop, which opened its doors this weekend, presents an array of products from Styles' brand, including a line of pastel nail polishes dubbed the AstroMilk collection. The space also features apparel and accessories, with unique touches like "unidentified fashion objects," per an NBC Chicago report. Reflecting the brand's non-binary ethos, these items aim to offer something for everyone.

As explained by Sophie Kerr-Dineen, Pleasing's Senior Vice President of Marketing, to Block Club Chicago, "The nail colors are milky neutrals. But it’s a Pleasing take on neutral colorways," emphasizing that while the brand is keen on infusing joy and color, a gap in their nail polish offerings necessitated the expansion.

Further extending its customer experience, the Pleasing AstroMilk Bar also serves up a selection of themed ice cream flavors, such as Space Milk (strawberry) and Milk Man’s Cheeks (espresso). These novel treats stand beside activities including the chance to check voter registration status with HeadCount, as stated in an Instagram post noted by NBC Chicago.

Shoppers can visit the Pleasing pop-up from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday, until its closure on July 14. Anticipating high turnout, the store has alerted potential patrons of expected long queues, especially during its initial days of operation.
