In the early hours of the morning in Windsor, a routine traffic stop escalated to an arrest on gun and drug possession charges. The Town of Windsor Police Department reported that at approximately 12:35 am, deputies pulled over 38-year-old Richodd Toyfoya from Healdsburg for what began as a vehicle code violation on Old Redwood Highway near Bluebird Drive.

During the interaction with Toyfoya, deputies spotted drug paraphernalia on the car's passenger floorboard, initiating his detention. A subsequent search revealed suspected methamphetamine in Toyfoya's pocket, and inside the vehicle, more methamphetamine, fentanyl, and a loaded firearm concealed astutely in the center console were found.

Toyfoya, a convicted felon, now faces several felony charges, including felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm in public, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Additionally, misdemeanor charges for possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia have been added to the docket. "Toyfoya was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility (MADF) for the following felony charges", according to the Town of Windsor Police Department.

After his arrest, Toyfoya's bail was set at $30,000, which he later met, resulting in his release. The Windsor Police Department reiterates its commitment, stating, "protecting our community is our priority." Despite the gravity of the situation, the seamless arrest and the efficient judicial processing serve as a testament to the Town of Windsor Police Department's vigilance.
