Hialeah Police Arrest Suspected Illegal Dumper after Video Surfaces; Accomplice Still at LargeSource: Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation Department

Hialeah has reinforced its stance against environmental negligence as police took into custody 38-year-old Osniel Lezcano Blanco, who was recently spotted in a video footage illegally disposing of trash. The arrest, which took place on June 26, stems from a June 6 incident caught on camera near West 44th Avenue and 108th Street in Hialeah.

"On the CCTV it clearly shows that while Blanco was driving, another male was seen unloading items from the trailer onto the ground," Officer Scarlett Hernandez, spokeswoman for the Hialeah Police Department, stated in a correspondence to Local 10 News. The disturbing visuals included Blanco and an accomplice, who is still at large, using an unauthorized homemade trailer to dump items such as a mattress into public space.

According to Local 10, Blanco's motivation may have been business-oriented. The police claim that the defendant uses the vehicle to collect and dispose of unwanted items for clients in exchange for compensation. Following his arrest, Blanco reportedly "provided a full confession to the crime."

This particular arrest is seen as more than just routinary law enforcement; it's a symbolic reinforcement of community standards. Officer Hernandez emphasized the broader implications: "We hope that this serves as a message and warning not only to our residents but anyone who is visiting Hialeah that this is not going to be a trash chute, and there are many other places where you can throw your trash away," as per NBC Miami report.

Blanco has since bonded out of jail, a development indicative of the legal process, but the authorities' message is clearly articulated—a warning against the disregard for public spaces and local ordinances. Furthermore, anyone with information on the second individual involved in the incident is urged to reach out to the Hialeah Police Department or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
