On the North Side of Chicago, a 26-year-old man fell victim to a home invasion that led to him being stabbed multiple times on Thursday night. According to the Chicago Tribune, the incident happened in the Sheffield Neighbors neighborhood, more specifically on the 2000 block of North Clifton Avenue, soon after 11:30 p.m.

Officers responding to the scene discovered the man, who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. The suspect, reportedly having fled the residence by foot, was later apprehended by the police. Still in fair condition, the victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. His assailant was identified before being taken into custody, ABC7 Chicago added.

The Chicago Police Department has not yet provided extensive details about the suspect who broke into the home. It has, however, been indicated that charges are pending.
