A Nashville man has been placed under arrest and is facing charges after multiple sexually explicit images of a child were found posted on social media. The Special Victims Unit took 28-year-old Mathieu Williams of Antioch into custody following a tip-off from the National Center for Missing and Explicated Children regarding disturbing content uploaded to an X account earlier in June.

The subsequent investigation, spearheaded by Detective Chase Harriman, led to Williams' connection with the offending account. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, during an interview with detectives, Williams admitted that he knew the female child in the images and that he was responsible for producing them.

As part of the investigation, authorities executed a search warrant at Williams' residence, resulting in the seizure of several electronic devices. These devices are likely to undergo further examination for evidence as part of the unfolding case.

Currently, Williams is being held on a $150,000 bond in jail. He faces significant charges that include three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
