Port St. Lucie Medical Personnel Arrested Over Alleged Botched Surgeries and Illegal Practices at SpaSource: Monroe County Sheriff's Office

Port St. Lucie has become the stage for an unsettling drama of unlawful cosmetic surgeries, as four individuals linked to Cosmetica Plastic Surgery and Anti-Aging were arrested for allegations concerning botched operations and the lack of proper licensing. According to CBS12 News, these surgeries included liposuction, Brazilian butt lifts, breast augmentations, and more, carried out roughly between 2021 and 2022.

The chief orchestrator, Adley DaSilva, a 51-year-old physician's assistant, performed procedures, although his license did not allow it. Assistant Chief Leo Niemczyk of the Port St. Lucie Police Department described the scenario, telling WPBF reporters about the extent of the damage: "We have one victim with a significant amount of skin now missing from her abdomen." Investigations were initiated when the doctor once associated with the practice reported unauthorized activities and severely affected patients came forth.

DaSilva's activities, according to police statements, involved his wife, Kiomy Quintiana, 41, who has no medical license, the 52-year-old surgical technician Diane Millan, and Fermal Simpson, 74, an anesthesiologist — all accused of being part of this sinister surgical saga. Costing victims between $6,800 and $22,900, these surgeries conducted in the absence of proper medical oversight have now led to multiple charges facing the suspects, from racketeering to aggravated battery.

One suspect remanining at large and is believed to have eluded capture by fleeing the country. In a candid warning to the public, officials urged due diligence. "You have to research the doctor’s offices and make sure you’re seeing the doctor whose diplomas you see on the wall that’s very important," stated one of the assistant chiefs during the revelation of the case, as per WPBF report. Though the medical spa's operation was halted in 2022, the ramifications of its procedures are still surfacing with, as authorities believe, potentially more victims out there.

If you or anyone you know may have been a patient at Cosmetica Plastic Surgery and Anti-Aging and suffered adverse effects, Port St. Lucie Police Department encourages reaching out to Detective Amy Maloveczky at 772-871-5001 to assist further in their investigations.
