Boulder County residents interested in the future of composting have an opportunity to get the latest updates on the Compost Facility Feasibility Study. On Tuesday, Boulder County Public Works is set to hold a public meeting where updates on the ongoing study will be presented by the project's consultants, Burns, and McDonnell. Following the presentation, attendees can engage in a discussion with the consultant team and the county's project staff. Representatives from Eco-Cycle will kick off the session with a briefing on the area's current composting landscape.
According to Boulder County, the meeting is scheduled to run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Boulder County Recycling Center's Education Room, located at 1901 63rd Street in Boulder. No registration is required, and the doors are open to all who want to join the conversation. Moreover, the county has made provisions to include Spanish interpreters, and additional language support is on offer upon request. Boulder County wants to ensure that everyone has equal access to our programs, activities, and services.
With the feasibility study expected to conclude later this year, this meeting serves as a crucial platform for public engagement and transparency. The county commissioners are slated to be present, exemplifying their commitment to both listen and participate in the exchange of insights.
Residents who require assistance due to language barriers or disabilities are encouraged to reach out before the event. For language aid, an email to [email protected] or a call to 303-441-1032 no later than three business days before the meeting is requested. Similarly, for ADA accommodations, stakeholders should email [email protected] or call 303-441-1386, ensuring to submit their requests at least two business days in advance. These measures underscore the county's objective to promote inclusivity and equal access to its initiatives.
