A robbery with force in the Bayview on Monday had an unexpected resolution after the thief returned the victim’s stolen property.

According to police, an 11-year-old boy was playing basketball with two suspects, aged 13 and 14, around 7:30pm last night near the intersection of Ingalls Street and Beatrice Lane.

After the game concluded, the suspects held down the victim and stole his sneakers. It’s unclear how much time elapsed, but “the suspect later returned the shoes” to the victim before fleeing the scene, police reported.

No arrests were made in the case.
