MSDWT Teen Musical Theater Triple Threat Workshop: Singing, Acting, and Dancing in 21st Century Musicals/Movies

Joyce Click, choir teacher at North Central High School, will serve as director of this week-long camp. She will be assisted by Doug King from Beef and Boards; LeAnn Haggard, retired North Central dance instructor and choreographer; and talented North Central choir students and alumni. All students from ages 11 -17 are invited to improve their musical theater skills in singing, acting and dancing. Each day's curriculum will feature a different theme and focus. At 2:00 p.m. each day, we will hold a musical performance, and parents are welcome to attend as audience members so each participant will gain experience singing, dancing and acting in front of an audience. Please bring your lunch each day except Friday, and wear comfortable shoes for dancing. On Friday, we will have a pizza party for lunch.

When: Tuesday, May 28, 8:30 a.m.- Friday, May 31, 3 p.m.

Admission: $25 per day or $100 for the week

Leadership in Action: How Effective Directors Get Things Done in Early Childhood Education

True leaders come in all shapes and sizes. Some are outgoing and charismatic; others are quietly influential. This session explores the concept of leadership in the context of early childhood education. It looks at the multi-faceted role of the center director and the skills and competencies needed to nurture leadership at all levels of an organization.

'Healing Your Inner Child' Workshop

Indiana Pride of Color presents the third workshop in the Pride of Life Workshop Series. The Pride of Life promotes physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, financial and social wellness of the LGBTQ community. Attend 'Healing Your Inner Child' and take a big step toward greater health and wellness. This workshop is led by therapist Jessica Gordon, who will guide participants through self-healing exercises to lessen shame and embrace your inner child.
