Multiple school districts across the state, including some of the largest in San Antonio, were on high alert after receiving a "mass email" that threatened explosive violence at precisely 1 p.m. Comal ISD and North East ISD were among those issuing warnings to parents, assuring that while the threat was not believed credible, every possible measure was being taken to ensure student safety. The police, along with the FBI, were on the chase to unmask the source of the intimidations. "We have been made aware of a mass email threat that has been sent to public schools not just in our area but to school districts across Texas," stated an email from Comal ISD obtained by FOX San Antonio.

The FBI, emphasizing the gravity of hoax threats, urged continued vigilance among the public.
