The actions didn't halt there. A unanimous nod was given by the Board to sync the County's zoning regulations with recent changes made by the City. This legal alignment aims to iron out inconsistencies, particularly in areas outside Portland city limits yet under County jurisdiction. "We can only fully solve the housing and homelessness crisis if there are apartments and homes that people can move into, and right now, we are dangerously behind on constructing those units,'' Chair Jessica Vega Pederson said.
