"There’s still so much more that we need to do," Carlos Migoya, President and CEO of Jackson Health, told the audience at the Lynn Rehabilitation Center. With local sports teams cheering, grateful patients and county officials gathered, the drive has already begun on a high note, amidst the anticipation of becoming the nation's largest fundraising program in its league.

It isn't just an emergency room that's getting a facelift; the collected funds will address wider needs, aiming to usher in world-class care for all residents, "regardless of their ability to pay," Migoya shared in a statement obtained by WSVN. Highlighting the human impact of the campaign, Dr. Erika Rolle, a beneficiary of Jackson Health's services, noted the gravity of being told one needs a heart transplant, which she received at Jackson Memorial Hospital. According to a BNN Breaking interview, Rolle articulated her journey from diagnosis to post-transplant care, "I didn’t have to worry, throughout my process I didn’t have to worry because Jackson made it possible for me to have that hope and keep the hope as well as the faith."
