Solano County Authorities Clear Tons of Waste, Derelict Vehicles from Goodyear EncampmentSource: Solano County Sheriff's Office

In a substantial effort to spruce up the local environment, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the County’s Public Works and Republic Services, recently completed a major clean-up operation at an encampment located at Goodyear and Morrow Rd. The intensive endeavor resulted in the removal of a significant amount of waste and several derelict vehicles from the site.

According to a statement obtained by the Solano County Sheriff's Office on Facebook, the clean-up team filled a considerable, 40-yard waste container with trash and cleared away three abandoned RVs and trailers. Additionally, six abandoned vehicles were towed from the area in an attempt to unburden the community from the eyesores and potential hazards they posed.

The sheriff's department emphasized the humanitarian aspect of their operation, stating that no individuals were displaced as a result of the clean-up efforts. The primary goal of the initiative was articulated as dual-fold: to protect the local environmental integrity and to enhance the health and wellbeing of the encampment's past residents.
