In an instance of tearful relief, Anthony Crum embraced his 7-year-old daughter, Iris, in Texas after the child was at the center of a Tennessee AMBER Alert. Iris Crum was reported missing on March 1 from Murfreesboro and was found safe in League City, Texas, on March 10. CBS2 Iowa captured the poignant moment the father and daughter reunited.

Iris had gone missing after her mother, Khalia Czereda—who does not have custody—failed to relinquish the child to her father as per court orders. The AMBER Alert was issued by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office when Anthony Crum could not locate his daughter at her school in Murfreesboro, per information provided by WKRN. Czereda and a stepfather were taken into custody following the resolution of the alert.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation weighed in on the case revealing that Iris appeared "as happy as can be" and was "smiling ear to ear" as she waited for her father. The information came from an interview with Anthony Crum who told WSMV4 that he was in transit from Murfreesboro to Texas that Sunday morning to pick up his daughter.
