Misplaced in the midst of fitness and fabric, the measles virus potentially spread from Sunday, February 11 at a Planet Fitness, to the sterile halls of SimonMed Imaging on March 4. CCHHS officials have listed specific times of exposure, and are urging those present to look out for symptoms such as a high fever, cough, achy muscles, and the distinctive blotchy rash that harks back to bygone eras of unchecked outbreaks. In a statement obtained by AZFamily, CCHHS Director Kim Musselman underscored the heightened risk for the unvaccinated, advising, "The best protection against measles is to receive the measles vaccine."
Measles symptoms, which can emerge between seven to 21 days post-exposure, are not to be taken lightly.
