An Amazon delivery driver has been implicated in the stabbing of a man following a heated argument over a parking spot at a Madison apartment complex, according to police. The altercation, which took place around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, escalated until the driver allegedly used a knife to injure the other man involved. The victim, nursing wounds described as non-life threatening, was subsequently taken to Skyline Medical Center for treatment.

Metro Nashville Police detailed the confrontation, which started when the driver was using the spot to complete delivery details after finding the package recipient wasn't home. It was then that a 47-year-old man, reportedly angered by his parking space being obstructed, approached the delivery driver. As the quarrel intensified, it is said that the driver, a 42-year-old man, was punched in the face and in response, pulled out a knife to defend himself, ultimately stabbing the other individual. The driver then called 911 to report the incident, as per KRDO.

The stabbing suspect had been attempting to make an entry on his electronic pad to document the undelivered package at the time of the incident, occurring at a condo located in the 400 block of Churchill Crossing, Madison. The victim, before receiving medical attention, managed to retreat to his home after the altercation.

Detectives are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fight and stabbing. "The driver pulled a knife and stabbed the man after he was punched in the face," according to the statement obtained by WKRN. A statement echoed by NewsNationNow, which also reported on the tragic development in Madison. No information regarding charges or arrests has been disclosed thus far as the investigation proceeds.
