Music and entertainment enthusiasts can now take a peek behind the curtain at Austin's Moody Center, which has opened its doors for behind-the-scenes tours. According to CBS Austin, the venue, which cost $375 million to develop, is showcasing its journey from an initial sketch on a paper napkin by actor Matthew McConaughey in 2018, to its completion last spring.

Starting on June 5, fans will be able to explore spots usually off-limits, including the artist hallway, the talent dressing rooms, and the swanky Moët & Chandon Imperial Lounge, as part of a 75-minute guided experience. While tickets for these tours will be released for purchase on May 13, at precisely 10 a.m., enthusiasts must hurry, as tours are scheduled for just 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on selected Thursdays in June, July, and the early part of August.

For those interested in securing their spot, the process is entirely digital. "Your phone is your ticket. Download the Moody Center App to add tickets to your digital wallet. Printouts or screenshots will not work for entry," states the Moody Center's website. The tickets, priced at $20, must be purchased online to gain entry to this immersive experience.

Moreover, these tours don't just offer a glimpse at what goes on behind the stage, but they also serve a charitable cause. According to a Facebook post by Moody Center ATX, a portion of the proceeds from every ticket sale will benefit the center’s community initiative, Red River Rising. This ensures that attendees not only indulge their curiosity but also contribute to local community development efforts, all while taking in the history and operational intricacies of the famed arena.
