Authorities are on the hunt for a 20-year-old man accused of a violent robbery and assault in Bexar County, officials said. The suspect, identified as Jose Angel Godines, is wanted for a reported confrontation that escalated to an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, as reported by foxsanantonio.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, told deputies that after refusing to go to Godines' home, she was violently assaulted. The pair, who had previously dined together at a local restaurant, reportedly argued over "material items" that Godines had given to the victim. Despite initially declining out of fear, the woman agreed to follow Godines in her vehicle to his abode, deputies reported.

The situation took a perilous turn when the victim, attempting to elude Godines, instead drove home and contacted her brother for help. In a troubling sight that confirmed her fears, she noticed that Godines was following closely behind in his vehicle. Upon reaching her residence, Godines engaged in an altercation, violently snatching jewelry from her and causing injury in the process. The confrontation further intensified when the woman's brother stepped in to assist,

Deputies assert that Godines then brandished a firearm, threatening to shoot the brother before fleeing the scene. The suspect stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs around 125 pounds, and is known to frequent the Castle Hills area. The sheriff's office is urging anyone with information on Godines' whereabouts to come forward and help apprehend the wanted man.
