Chicago Police Seek Suspect After Sexual Abuse Incident on Chicago AvenueSource: Chicago Police Department

Chicago's streets were shattered for two young women when a man approached one of them and committed sexual abuse early morning, according to a community alert from the Chicago Police Department. The incident, which occurred on May 1st at approximately 12:10 A.M., saw the two 20-year-old victims walking on Chicago Avenue near Fairbanks when they encountered the suspect.

The assailant, who the police have described as a black male with a shaved head and clean-shaven face, standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build, was wearing a dark-colored long coat when he abused one of the young women. The other victim managed to pull her companion away creating an opportunity for the pair to escape. The predator continued heading eastbound after the assault. Surveillance from the area led to photos that offered a glimpse of the suspect, aiding the police in their hunt for this individual.

CPD is urging the community to take precautions: it's recommended to walk in pairs, don't talk to strangers or approach vehicles, and always be mindful of your environment, especially in well-lit and populated areas. They also emphasize that should anyone spot suspicious activity or individuals who match the suspect's description, do not hesitate to dial 911.
