The South San Francisco Police Department reported that at approximately 2:38 PM on May 21, a call came in about gunshots heard in the 2400 block of Wright Court. Officers and detectives rushed to the scene while nearby schools were secured as a protective measure, transforming into “Secure Campus” mode amidst the commotion.

In the investigation that followed, it became apparent that the gunfire was not a random act of violence but an isolated incident at a local residence. The South San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of Timothy Nhok, a 37-year-old South San Francisco resident, for willful discharge of a firearm and child endangerment. This notable escalation indicated a more perilous reality behind the gunshots—a reality comprising illegal firearms, drugs, and the presence of a child in harm's way.

Further digging into Nhok's background unearthed a more somber scene as detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect's home. They discovered two firearms, ammunition, and a stash of illegal narcotics, painting a picture of a residence doubling as a potential hub for both violent and drug-related activities.
