Disney's Genie+ service is set to undergo a notable transformation starting July 24, according to Disney World officials. The much-utilized Genie+ will soon be rebranded as the "Lightning Lane Multi-Pass," said the park's announcement, which was reported by ClickOrlando. Additionally, single access to Lightning Lane attractions will adopt the new moniker, "Lighting Lane Single Pass".

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is designed to quickly enhance the park experience by allowing guests to reserve up to three attractions before their visit. This system also gives the option to select from available times while making their reservations, ClickOrlando's report outlines. Conversely, the Single Pass will continue to allow visitors to schedule time for high-demand attractions well in advance, which could lead to significantly reducing waiting times during peak periods.

For Disney Resort hotel guests and others staying at certain hotels, the benefits are about to become more exclusive. These visitors will be able to plan their Lightning Lane entries up to a whopping seven days in advance for their stay, capped at 14 days. Other guests will also have the upper hand, able to prep up to three days ahead of their trip. This new strategy marks Disney's move to streamline future planning and simplify the park experience, as detailed by MyNews13.

Alongside the launch of the past-termed Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, Disney also teased a new addition to their attraction roster: Tiana's Bayou Adventure, scheduled to open on June 28. This attraction will be included among those available for the Multi-Pass selection. It is argued that such innovations are Disney's attempt to blend features from their current offering with aspects of the earlier FastPass+ service. Disney's announcement aims to give guests the capability to plan easily, eliminating the stress of mid-vacation strategizing, as USA Today reported.

Disneyland Resort will also adopt these updated Lightning Lane nomenclatures; however, the mechanics for purchase, selection, and redemption of Lightning Lane passes there will remain consistent. Furthermore, the full features of the Disney Genie service will continue to be accessible through the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, ensuring that both parks are keeping technology at the forefront of the guest experience. For additional details on how to purchase and utilize the Lightning Lane passes, Disney encourages future guests to visit their official website.
