Commuters on the MBTA Green Line faced unexpected delays yesterday evening after an ill-fated maneuver by a driver. According to the MBTA Transit Police, at around 5:30 PM, an operator of an '08 Honda Accord attempted a U-turn across the tracks on the 2000 block of Commonwealth Avenue and became lodged in the process.

The result was an immediate halt to service, as the vehicle obstructed the path of the trains, much to the chagrin of passengers during the bustling rush hour. With a response that was as quick as it was necessary, Transit Police arrived at the scene to address the traffic disruption caused by the car stuck, getting the situation under control.
