According to the Long Beach Police Department's blotter, at approximately 6:33 a.m., officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 2700 block of Golden Avenue after a man tried to prevent the theft of a motorcycle.
The initial investigation revealed that the male adult victim was in his vehicle when he spotted a motorcycle being stolen using a suspect vehicle. The confrontation began after the man attempted to intervene, leading him to follow the suspect's vehicle.
