Two suspects have been detained following a high-octane chase through the streets of North Hollywood on Sunday evening. The Los Angeles Police Department pursued an allegedly armed individual driving a white pickup truck at speeds reported to reach up to 80 mph on surface streets, according to CBS Los Angeles. The suspects evaded police, moving dangerously through traffic and utilizing parking lots to maintain distance from the officers in pursuit.

The chase ended calmly when the suspects decided to abruptly pull over near Riverside Drive in Studio City. The LAPD officers, guns drawn, were prepared to quickly respond to any threat. The suspects complied, putting their hands out of the truck's windows to surrender. KTLA reported that both suspects were instructed to exit the vehicle and subsequently lay down in the street, an order they followed without further resistance.

The nature of the original offense that sparked the pursuit was not immediately clear, but both individuals in the pickup were taken into custody without additional incident, ensuring the situation did not escalate.
