A juvenile was arrested in Worcester on Saturday after a police officer spotted a vehicle reported as stolen. According to the official press release from the Worcester Police Department, the encounter began around 2:02 PM when the vehicle was first identified.

Attempting to perform a routine stop, the officer activated his siren and overhead lights, only to have the vehicle flee toward Cutler Street. It was not until the suspects abandoned the vehicle and began to hastily run that the officer was able to engage in a foot pursuit, ultimately detaining one of the two individuals, a minor. The other suspect managed to evade law enforcement and remains at large.

The incident culminated in the Addison Street area, where the apprehension took place. In the meantime, the vehicle's rightful owner was contacted and arrived to reclaim his property. The juvenile was then charged with multiple offenses, which include receiving a stolen motor vehicle, trespass, and disorderly conduct.
