According to an LAFD alert, smoke was seen emerging from the building upon arrival. The residence was found empty and initially, no visible fire was present. Nevertheless, LAFD's persistent search uncovered flames lurking within the attic space. Before tackling the fire, the firefighters performed salvage operations to protect the inhabitants' belongings from water damage.
The LAFD team consisting of 30 firefighters managed to suppress the fire in less than half an hour – a commendable feat given the circumstances. "Ultimately, it took 30 firefighters 28 minutes (7:37 pm) to respond, complete salvage, and access/extinguish the flames," LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange said, as per LAFD alert.
