In what the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department is describing as a case of attempted murder, deputies arrested 48-year-old Joseph Clark after he allegedly attacked his stepson with a metal pipe. The incident took place late Monday, June 10, in Oak Hills, with authorities responding to a 911 call at around 10:51 pm, according to the SBSD - Victor Valley Sheriff's Department.

Upon their arrival at the residence on Sweetwater Lane, deputies found a 23-year-old male victim bearing injuries consistent with an assault, including to his head and arm, reported to be involved in a physical altercation with his stepfather. As reported by the SBSD - Victor Valley Sheriff's Department, the deputies rendered aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital. Clark was taken into custody facing charges of attempted murder and is currently being held on a $1,000,000.00 bail at the High Desert Detention Center.
