An early morning altercation escalated into violence on the near north side of Indianapolis, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The incident began at approximately 3:30 a.m. when the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) received a report of a shooting at a residence on the 2600 block of Carrollton Avenue. Officers arriving at the scene found an adult male with a gunshot wound inside a house. He was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition, yet is expected to survive, as detailed by WRTV.
While they were assisting the victim, IMPD officers detained an armed individual who attempted to enter the residence. Subsequently, a second male was located at the intersection of North College Avenue and Fall Creek Parkway, bearing injuries from gunfire. A third male was discovered deceased between two houses in the same area, and while his age remains unspecified, authorities have linked his death to the Carrollton Avenue shooting as well. The suspect apprehended by the police faces charges including resisting law enforcement, intimidation, and battery on a law enforcement officer, as recounted by WTHR.
