Lauderhill Police Escalate Search for Missing Siblings Aged 11 and 13, Community Mobilizes for Their Safe Return Source: Google Street View

The Lauderhill Police Department is intensifying efforts to locate Heyvion Johnson, 13, and his younger brother Jarohn Thompson, 11, who were reported missing since Saturday night. According to Local 10, the siblings were last in communication with their mother around 9 p.m. while at John E. Mullin Park, 2000 NW 55th Ave., and were instructed to return home, but never did.

The search began, as WSVN reports, after the boys' mother contacted the police the next morning when she had not heard from them. Last seen walking north on Northwest 55th Avenue, the community is being asked to contribute to the brothers' safe return with any information. Descriptions provided by authorities state Jarohn, around 5 feet tall and weighing 65 pounds, has a "medium complexion” and was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, red camouflage pants, and black slides. His brother Heyvion, significantly taller at 6 feet and 165 pounds, shares a similar complexion and was last seen wearing a white tank top and black gym shorts.

As the brothers' whereabouts remain unknown, the police and local residents have increased their outreach for assistance. Lauderhill Police officials encourage anyone who has information or might've seen the boys to get in touch immediately. Their mother, who must contend with the silence that has replaced the patter of her children's footsteps, hopes the community's eyes and ears might lead to the return of her sons.

Community members are urged to contact the Lauderhill Police Department at 954-497-4700 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 if they happen to come into contact with either or both siblings, or if they have any information that could be relevant. The police, alongside a worried community, continue their diligent search in hopes of a safe resolution.
