The incident unfolded on a normally peaceful stretch of the 1700 block of Fort Davis Street, Southeast, when a French Bulldog was snatched from its owner at gunpoint.

The harrowing event took place last Saturday around 8:20 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The victim, engaged in the benign act of walking her dog, was accosted by an individual wielding a weapon. The suspect, whose intentions were clear, made off with 'Yurman', the 2-year-old French Bulldog, and hastily fled in a getaway vehicle.

To spread the net wider, authorities have released surveillance images capturing both the malefactor and their mode of escape. These visuals—a poignant echo of a moment of familial disruption—are made public with the hope that eyes across the city might steer the wheels of justice.

Eyewitnesses or anyone with information are implored to come forward.
