The city reels in the wake of a dreadful shooting in which a mother of four was slain in Homestead. Eulalia Gonzalez, aged 38, was identified by police as the victim of gun violence that took away her life last Thursday. Miami-Driel detectives are on the hunt to quickly identify and apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this tragedy.

As per a Local10 report, the shooting occurred near Northwest 11th Street and Sixth Avenue, around 7:40 p.m., a location also known with the appellation Roberts Road. Gonzalez's death was pronounced at the Jackson South Medical Center after Homestead police and rescue personnel, via helicopter, rushed to save her – ultimately to no avail.

Heartache shadows Gonzalez's exit, leaving behind a void not easily to be filled by her loved ones. She was the mother to four children, the youngest of whom is reported as only a month old. A GoFundMe has been set up to support the grieving family in their painful journey forward and is linked by NBC Miami.

Detective Angel Rodriguez, acting spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, expressed that the homicide detectives of Miami-Dade have taken the lead on this investigation. The public is encouraged to effectively come forward with any information that might lead to an arrest— offering a reward of up to $5,000 for those proofs that culminate in the closure with an arrest.
