A woman is in serious condition following a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday in Phoenix. Phoenix Police Department reported that the stabbing took place before 1:00 A.M., near the intersection of 9th Avenue and Glendale.

Upon their arrival, the authorities found a woman who had sustained several stab wounds, FOX 10 Phoenix reported. The victim, seriously injured, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital. The suspect described only as a man, fled the scene before the police could apprehend him, leaving officials in search of clues and witnesses.

A similar call came from near 19th and Glendale Avenues. Officers who arrived at this location also found a woman with multiple stab wounds. She too was transported to the hospital for the serious injuries she had sustained.

As the investigation into the stabbing continues, the police are appealing to the public for assistance. Silent Witness, a program aiding the Phoenix Police, is accepting tips related to the incidents. "If you have any information that may lead to an arrest in this stabbing, you are asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, or you can submit a tip online," ABC 15 reported.
