A woman has been taken into custody following a fatal incident outside a Phoenix nightspot, with the violent event marking an abrupt end to what began as an evening of leisure for one Valley mother. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the Phoenix Police Department reported that 24-year-old Teayanna Minter surrendered herself to the Glendale Police and now faces charges of second-degree murder as a result of the shooting which occurred early on June 29 outside Club Encounters near 31st Avenue and Indian School Road.

29-year-old Ta'Janae Carter, the woman who lost her life that morning, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to the hospital. As 12News noted, the victim, lauded for her generous spirit and humor, leaves behind loved ones who remember her as the best mother with the biggest heart.

The repercussions of this tragedy stretch far beyond the immediate shock, with Ta'Janae Carter's sister, Shant Cunningham, seeking to keep her memory alive through recollections of her finest qualities, “She was the best mother and nobody can take that from her," Cunningham told 12News, reflecting on her sister's love for her family, her humor and her zest for life.

Though the evening's leisurely intent ended in tragedy, Carter's family is working to ensure that she isn't forgotten during their time of mourning and they have set up a GoFundMe page to cover the funeral expenses.
