A fire at a condominium building in Sunny Isles Beach broke out Sunday night, causing distress among residents and disruptions along Collins Avenue. According to Local 10 News, the blaze was reported just before 8 p.m. near 193rd Street and Collins Avenue. First responders arrived to find heavy smoke and flames pouring from a 12th-floor unit. The incident called over 30 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units to the scene who managed to quickly get the fire under control.

The situation led to roadblocks and traffic advisories for travelers in the area. A Sunny Isles Beach Police Department posted on X warned motorists that one lane northbound and one lane southbound of Collins Avenue at 191-193 Street were blocked due to the firefighting activities. Commuters were advised to seek to find alternate routes to avoid delays.
