A new Mexican spot has debuted in the neighborhood. Located at 247 N Brand Blvd. in Glendale, the newcomer is called Cocina Cilantro.
Open since July 6th, Cocina Cilantro aims to provide Mexican specialties with an updated twist, including tacos ($3.25), salads ($7.95), bowls ($8.25) and burritos ($8.25) made from grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, soy chorizo and more. To drink, expect a selection of aguas frescas, hibiscus iced tea and horchata—and don't miss the churro trio (original, bavarian cream and caramel with a Nutella dip) for dessert.
With a 3.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp so far, Cocina Cilantro has made a promising start.
Natalie P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 6th, said: "Yum yum yum!! So glad this place finally opened. I had a wonderful Wednesday night dinner with my boyfriend at Cilantro! When we walked in we were both very impressed with the decor."
And Elizabeth H. said: "I had the beet tostada to start. Sounds weird but it was surprisingly so good! It had a creamy avocado sauce on top too and the flavors were really good together."
