Craving ramen? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Ramen Bangaichi, the fresh addition is located at 4339 W Sunset Blvd. in Silver Lake.

Replacing longtime neighborhood staple Saito Sushi, Ramen Bangaichi is cash-only, and its straightforward, one-page menu boasts plenty of options, including butter corn ramen, ginger ramen, char-siu ramen, and even a vegan bowl.

The fresh addition opened its doors in late June, and has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.

Michael R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 10th, said: "Thick, sweet broth, and the kind of deeply satisfying broth that makes ramen so delicious."

Yelper Stevo M. added: “Bangaichi deserves 5 stars ... A welcome (generally lighter) alternative to Silver Lake Ramen in the neighborhood and infinitely more accessible.”

And Toohigh D. said: "The best ramen around the town ... You need to try if you like ramen."

You can anticipate spending $11-$30 per person on a visit to Ramen Bangaichi, as it's marked as two dollar signs on Yelp.

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Ramen Bangaichi is open Friday and Saturday from 11am–3am, and Sunday–Thursday from 11am–11pm.
